Does architecture matter as much as architects have traditionally presumed it to? Recent studies have shown people enjoy living in particular spaces and environments for numerous different reasons, including sociability within the local community, accessible transport and other resources - but rarely architecture. Participants include philiosopher/author Alain de Botton; Alice Rawsthorn; Richard Burdett, Professor in Architecture and Urbanism at London School of Economics and Director of Venice Architecture Biennale; design strategist Hilary Cottam, Alejandro Zaera Polo, architect at Foreign Office Architects and Jamie Fobert, architect.
